A Vision Of Britain
We work in the Epping Forest District and Eastern Counties to promote and provide health and fitness and mental well being exercises and activities.
Working in the natural environment and using art, photography, video and other forms of creative media we encourage our members and participants to develop an active, healthy lifestyle, while learning technical skills and knowledge of nature, local history and the natural world.
“I strongly encourage anyone that craves an outdoor experience to use A Vision Of Britain. As their ideas and activities are enticing and enriched with adventure. The journeys that you can undertake with this supportive and knowledgeable group are accessible to anyone seeking an outing, a hobby or an encounter. I personally found John’s tuition about photography very detailed and practical in its application. He is so knowledgeable and patient. I learnt how to take beautiful close up shots of nature in High Beech Forest, Essex using a macro lens. Along with the golden rule of photography, leaving me craving more…
I have completed the skills section of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award by expanding my knowledge base and skills set regarding photography with John’s guidance. I worked for the 12 hours required and I now have some amazing photographs to show how much I have developed.”
Brilliant Britain Breaking Boundaries!
Working with A Vision of Britain team leaders was a great help to our group. The range of activities included country walks, historic walks and art workshops. Our members really appreciated and enjoyed these events and were proud to be represented at the art exhibition showing some of the work that they had produced.
#A Vision of Britain successfully supports many of the groups that I work with at VAEF, providing walks for disabled and special needs in our local countryside. Collaboration with our groups is an important way of sharing experiences and making new friends and avoiding the isolation that some people face.
The pilot programme of walks we delivered with you in 2017 where very well received and the focus on supported/ accessible walks for disabled people complimented a key area of audience engagement that we are committed to delivering.
I am happy to confirm on behalf of Epping Forest District Museums, Heritage and Culture section our support for A Vision of Britain’s application to the Heritage Lottery Fund in respect of providing an enhanced programme of sensory walks across the Epping Forest District in 2019 and wish you well with the project.
